GRADUATE SCHOOL
Mission
The formation of high-level human capital in science and technology, as well as its continuous updating, is one of the strategic missions of the University of Chile, which is to meet our country’s current and future development needs.
In this context, the Graduate School of this Faculty has two main areas of activity:
Training leaders through its Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Nutrition and Food, and Chemistry doctoral programs. These programs are accredited by the National Accreditation Commission (CNA-Chile), allowing our applicants to apply for ANID scholarships. Several of these programs are offered in collaboration with other faculties at the University of Chile. The trained doctors are researchers capable of independently directing and conducting original research whose results substantially contribute to scientific or technological knowledge in their respective disciplines.
Training specialized professionals of excellence and keeping their knowledge and skills updated through professional-oriented Master’s programs, postgraduate degrees, and specialization programs in the professional fields of Food, Pharmacology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Vision
To be the best option for training our professionals (Pharmaceutical Chemists, Biochemists, Chemists, Food Engineers, and related professions) by generating attractive, high-quality initiatives. To realize this vision, the Postgraduate Committee will maintain strong ties with its alums and remain attentive to the concerns of its professionals.
