He stands out for his creative, analytical and critical capacity.<\/p><p>This enables them to:<\/p><ul><li>Act with leadership in the development, direction, execution and evaluation of basic, applied or technological research projects.<\/li><li>Direct clinical analysis laboratories in hospitals or similar institutions.<\/li><li>Carry out teaching activities in higher education, as well as consultancies in the academic, business and productive fields, whether in the public or private sector.<\/li><\/ul><p>Likewise, they are capable of working independently in a team and of effectively communicating the knowledge and results derived from their professional work.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>All of this is carried out within a framework of responsibility for the ethical, cultural, economic and environmental consequences of their actions, with a permanent social commitment to the development of the country, trademark characteristics that distinguish Universidad de Chile professionals.<\/p><p><strong>Degree<\/strong><br \/>Biochemist.<\/p><p><strong>Academic Degree<\/strong><br \/>Degree in biochemistry.<\/p><h4><strong>Intermediate Certification<\/strong><\/h4><p>Our University, framed in the Institutional Development Project (PDI), and specifically in its line of &#8220;Undergraduate Modernization&#8221;, incorporated the &#8220;Intermediate Certification&#8221;, which aims, among other aspects, to &#8220;Install the systematic evaluation of student achievement in the intermediate cycles, taking into account the competencies defined for the level as well as the impact of these achievements on subsequent levels\u201d.<\/p><p>This is how our Faculty defined a basic cycle in Chemistry that involves 144 credits and that recognizes certain competencies in our students, among which are:<\/p><ul><li>Ability to apply knowledge and comprehension in chemistry to the solution of qualitative and quantitative problems.<\/li><li>Understand fundamental concepts, principles and theories in the area of \u200b\u200bChemistry.<\/li><li>Interpret and evaluate data derived from observations and measurements relating them to the theory.<\/li><li>Ability to develop, use and apply analytical techniques.<\/li><li>Command of chemical terminology, nomenclature, conventions and units, to name a few.<\/li><\/ul><h3><strong>Degree<\/strong><\/h3><p>To qualify for the degree it is required:<\/p><ul><li>Professional Practice is a mandatory curricular activity.
