The following courses are in English for reference only.<\/strong><\/p><p>The curriculum will consist of a total of 240 credits, including the Thesis. At least 48 credits must be earned through compulsory courses, which include general training and the research unit. For elective courses, the candidate must complete at least 12 credits, with at least one course focused on Advanced Topics in Pharmaceutical and\/or Biological Sciences.<\/p><p>The minimum time required to fulfill the program\u2019s requirements is 6 semesters of full-time dedication, with a maximum of 2 semesters allocated to coursework. The maximum period of effective enrollment to qualify for the Doctorate is between 8 and 10 semesters. If the candidate has previously completed equivalent activities, the minimum period of effective enrollment may be reduced to 4 semesters.<\/p><p>The curriculum includes a set of activities designed to provide systematic, high-level training in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. The activities included in the curriculum will be:<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h5><strong>Mandatory courses<\/strong><\/h5><ul><li>Advanced Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology<\/li><li>General Training Course<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><h5><strong>Elective courses<\/strong><\/h5><p>Grouped according to Advanced Topics in Pharmaceutical and Biological Sciences<\/p><h5><strong>Research Unit<\/strong><\/h5><h5><strong>Qualifying Exam<\/strong><\/h5><p>The Qualifying Exam corresponds to a defense of the topic of your Thesis project, and its purpose is:<\/p><ul><li>Verify that the student has acquired broad, up-to-date knowledge in Pharmacology and Basic Sciences.<\/li><li>Assess the student\u2019s ability to integrate this knowledge with a mastery of fundamental concepts.<\/li><li>Evaluate the student\u2019s capacity to propose theoretical or experimental developments to address new problems independently.<\/li><\/ul><p>A candidate who has completed all mandatory curricular activities, excluding the thesis, may request permission from the Academic Committee to take the Qualification Exam.<\/p><h3><strong>Thesis<\/strong><\/h3><p>The thesis is the fundamental activity of the Doctoral Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences. It consists of an original and individual research work, which is a contribution to scientific knowledge or to the resolution of relevant scientific-technological problems in the area of \u200b\u200bpharmaceutical sciences. The candidate may begin his or her thesis once the committee has approved the preliminary project.
